Remember when I blogged about not having internet for a couple of days? Right. I just blogged about it a few minutes ago. Anyway, I'm catching up on my blogging with this entry.

National Lampoon's Adam and Eve (2005)
I decided to get a hold of a bunch of National Lampoon movies after I watched the second (well, third) Van Wilder film (Van Wilder: Freshman Year, the one with Jonathan Bennett) before last year ended. I decided to watch this first since it seemed neat. Note: seemed. The part when Adam and Eve started falling in love was pretty good. For a second there, I thought the movie was going to be great. Nope. I was wrong.
The idea behind the movie was almost good. The story wasn't. It was like holding your breath for a really long time then after a while you forget that you're still holding your breath. Kinda like that. It was so monotonous. It wasn't completely bad. It had its moments. It's just that they could've done better.
Heavy Petting (2007)
Remember when I blogged about watching films because a certain actor is in it? I watched this because Brendan Hines (Lie to Me) was in it. Malin Akerman's his love interest in the movie. I was excited to see this movie because the poster made it seem like a good romcom. The poster I saw was similar to that of Love and Other Drugs, except with clothes on.
I tried going through the movie days before I actually watched it--I just wanted a peek--when I saw loads of dogs. Guess what. Heavy petting doesn't mean heavy petting. It means heavy pet-ting. The moment I realized that, I was both annoyed and impressed. Annoyed, because I knew instantly that it was going to be a bad movie. Part of it was disappointed, because it wasn't the romcom I expected. Impressed because, come on! That is a clever title!
Either way, the movie was quite the opposite of Adam and Eve. It was a bad idea, but the Plot B was entertaining. I liked the love story except for the major conflict. Guess what the major conflict was. Okay, I'll tell you. Brendan Hines's character realizes he likes Baby Girl, the dog, all along (he hated dogs in the beginning of the movie) and Malik Akerman's character (who is obsessed with dogs-slash-owner of Baby Girl) gets jealous of the dog. I know right? WTF? I don't really remember how the movie ended. I gave my attention elsewhere. Haha.

National Lampoon Presents Cattle Call (2007)
I don't know why I keep watching National Lampoon movies even though I already know they're going to be bad. Anyway, Thomas Ian Nicholas (from the original American Pie trilogy, Tara Reid's boyfriend), Diedrich Bader (from a bunch of movies and TV shows) and Chelsea Handler (Chelsea Lately) are in it. It's about three guys who decide to host a fake casting call for a fake movie to meet girls. They call the fake movie Perfect for Me after an online dating service Thomas Ian Nicholas' character frequents.
The only thing I have to say about this film is that Thomas Ian Nicholas's acting from American Pie to this movie has not changed at all. That's it. Nothing else.
I gotta find better movies to watch.
