I Have the Worst Timing

I always remember to blog when I know I'll be too busy to keep it up. Today marks the end of the first week of my final first semester in college, and what do I do? Blog.

After just one week of school, I can feel how much stuff I have on my plate. But I like blogging. I stumbled upon one of the activities we had in our INTAC class from freshman year and a lot of my blockmates mentioned my blog. So I got curious about what they were talking about so I looked into my Multiply (because Facebook was just beginning to blow up at that point in time), and apparently, my college freshman self blogged A LOT. And what's weird about it was how I blogged a lot about what happened to me on the day I blogged. It's weird because if you look at my Tumblr, it's almost completely void of my identity. You wouldn't know it's mine unless I (somehow) told you or somebody told you. I liked the anonymity my Tumblr (sort of) had.

Going through my old posts made me realize that I kind of like looking back at what I've written in the past. It was a good sign that I didn't cringe so much at what I wrote three years ago. (Because my 18-year-old self used to cringe a lot about my 15-year-old self's blog posts.) Now, it seems that I am letting my future self down by not blogging at all. Well, hello future self. Look! I'm blogging! Here's one more thing your bored self can read.

What I miss in particular is blogging about what I'm watching. For instance, I've begun watching United States of Tara. It's really interesting. I'm really amazed at how Toni Collette is able to act out so many different personalities in one scene. Amazing. And its so timely that I've finally decided to watch the show since I'm currently taking up Abnormal Psychology. I feel like such an expert on Dissociative Identity Disorder (thank you, Tara). But then again, what does our AbPsych professor tell us on our first day? Film and television exaggerate psychological abnormalities. So much for learning through television. Whatevs. At least I know what questions to ask.

Another thing that bugs me about United States of Tara is that it got cancelled. WHY?! It's such a great show with a great cast. I'm seriously into it.

Well, with or without United States of Tara. Showtime has seriously become my favorite TV network. It has the best underrated shows. Their shows are guilty pleasures I just love to sink my teeth into. I hope a really great show takes United States of Tara's place (and Weeds, too).

My Alter Ego Gets Married!

Brooke Penelope Davis is my favorite TV character of all time. I don't really want to elaborate on this one but she's the TV character I identify with the most. I was pretty flattered (and a little bit surprised) when a friend actually pointed out our similarities. Of course, that friend loves to kid and posed the statement as a joke, but I'll leave out the joke part--it'll just ruin the moment.

All throughout the first few seasons of One Tree Hill, I've always been on Team Brucas. I insisted on the pairing despite the obvious fact that it's always going to be Lucas and Peyton, and I hated it. In my head, I wanted Peyton to end up with Jake Jagielski. Makes sense, doesn't it? But Jake's just too nice of a guy and let Peyton go back to Tree Hill for Lucas.

Next came Felix, who was another favorite. Let's face it, he was lovely to look at, but he turned out to be such a douche, that he just had to be kicked out of Tree Hill for good. Then Chase came along and I thought, hey, not bad. (Of course, I've had a crush on Stephen Coletti since Laguna Beach.) But there was always something missing with that pairing. They just don't click, you know?

Good thing Julian Baker came along. Of course it sucked that Julian was Peyton's first, and the reason why he came to Tree Hill in the first place was to win Peyton back, but he is Brooke's perfect match and they had to meet some way.

Julian Baker is the perfect fiance. He is the sweetest, most thoughtful guy there is. It's just too unfortunate that he isn't for real. It doesn't matter that he didn't have any real guy friends (except for Jamie Scott) or that he has an embarrassingly awkward high-five, it was nothing compared to the way he looked at Brooke, the way he treated Brooke, and the way he loved Brooke. He is Brooke's perfect match. His wedding vow says it all.

I'm so glad that Brooke finally got married to Julian. I had tears in my eyes. I love the little back stories they made for Brooke and Julian. The veil that Brooke found when she was a kid (Brooke's red door made a comeback!), and Julian's half token. It added so much sentimentality to the episode. I love how Jamie used Julian's story as his best man's speech. And I love that Julian passed on his half token to Jamie... because he didn't need it, because he found his other half. It kind of reminds me how Jamie helped Julian with his proposal to Brooke. It's just wonderful.

I can't help but gush! I am so happy for Brooke it's insane. I'm just hoping my future turns out the same way. Besides, I'd be glad to marry a Julian Baker. Julian's not only the sweetest, most thoughtful guy ever. He's also a producer-slash-director. He is such a film guy, that he fell in love with Brooke while she was dancing to the theme of The Breakfast Club. He and I will bond watching wonderful movies together. If my future turns out to be anything like this, then I can't wait.

Couples Therapy

I wasn't aware that NBC's Perfect Couples did a Glee and premiered a month ago. I only found out about it today, when the second episode came out. It's weird though since, apparently, the second episode is the pilot episode.

I really like the show, except for the theme song. It was seriously bad. I think they scrapped it though, hopefully for good.

I like the couples and their relationship with each other as couples and as a group. I like the show format, too. The show has witty lines, though not that much. Some situations aren't what you normally see. So, the show does bring something to the table. It has its moments, but I know the show can do better. I think it has the makings of a good sitcom. It's a good start. I know it'll get much, much better.

I'm looking forward to a lot more of these couples--an addition to my weekend dose of funny.

What Good is Shame?

So I decided to watch Shameless today. Despite getting all excited about it, I knew I loved it in the first two minutes of the show. It's got the characteristic elements of a British show and a Showtime series--provocative and unapologetic, just the way I like my TV shows.

A big chunk of what I love about the shows is the characters, which I should give credit to the British writers who created them. Fiona, Lip, Ian and Steve are currently my favorite characters. It's not because their characters were in focus in the pilot, but it's more of who they are really that make them great characters. I'm sure as more episodes come, I'll learn to love the other characters as well. I think I'm going to love Debbie. Plus, the circumstance they are put in makes the whole thing worth airing on TV--hell, it makes great TV. Okay, it sounds quite bad the way I say it. What I'm saying is that it makes a good story, but still, I wouldn't wish for the whole Shameless story happen to anyone. I myself wouldn't know how to survive if I were put in Fiona's shoes. I'd lose my mind. Nevertheless, the Gallaghers are a great family.

I am looking forward to more of Steve and Fiona's relationship, Lip and Ian's brotherly bonding, Ian's relationships, Kev and Veronica's awesome neighboring skills, and more shameless plots to come.

I am going to be obsessed with Shameless. I can feel it in my bones. It's my new guilty pleasure for sure. Maybe even more than Weeds.

Replicate

A few blog entries ago, I mused about the up-and-coming American TV show Shameless. I decided to check it out since, apparently, the pilot episode aired on January 9. That is not the only thing I found out today. From Wikipedia I found out that it is a remake of a British TV show of the same name. It made me realize how many American TV shows are based on British ones. It also makes me wonder how many more remakes there are out there.

Brits have amazing TV shows. Sometimes, it sucks that Americans make their own version--the suckiest replicates (Skins). Sometimes, they make it even better (Queer as Folk). I don't know how to feel about Shameless because, quite honestly, I'm excited to see the American version the moment I heard about it (which is way before I found out about the British original). On the other hand, I am intrigued about the original. Of course, it is the original. I want to watch both, but I'm sure I'm going to hate one of them.

I think I'll go and watch the American version first. I'm way to excited about it not to.

Flashbacks and Flashforwards

I love watching flashforwards in TV shows. Flashforwards show us what writers envision the characters to be like in the future. I especially love seeing flashforwards in cartoons because, let's face it, cartoon characters don't age.

Today, I got to watch--for the nth time--my favorite episode from my favorite cartoon show: The Simpsons S06E19 Lisa's Wedding.

I forgot that the flashforward was set in 2010, which was last year. It's surreal. It's funny seeing how we envisioned the future then: hologram trees (in memory of real trees), robot librarians, World War III. It's already 2011 and the world is far from becoming what we envisioned it over a decade ago, except for maybe picture phones (thank you, Face Time and Skype).

Since the episode originally aired in 1996, I think, perhaps I can go on and blog about what happened in the episode without it becoming a spoiler.

The episode starts off with the Simpsons going to the Springfield Renaissance Fair. Lisa goes to Friar Wiggum's (Not-So-) Fantastical Beastarium. An equinox (aka bunny) hops away. Lisa tries to go after the bunny but she stumbles upon a fortune teller.

The fortune teller tells Lisa about her first love, an English boy named Hugh. She meets Hugh in college in the year 2010. Initially, they hate each other but eventually fall madly in love with each other after playing a game of "who's better/smarter than who". They travel to England and get engaged.

Lisa and Hugh go back to Springfield for the wedding and stay at the Simpsons' home. Being the Simpsons, they unintentionally give Hugh a difficult time. Homer brings Hugh to Mo's for a drink, where he passes on a tradition by giving Hugh a set of hideous, novelty pig cufflinks.

On the day of the wedding, Homer and Lisa talk. (Such a sweet, aww-inducing scene.) Lisa notices that Homer is wearing the pig cufflinks and asks Homer about it. Homer says he found the cufflinks on nightstand, insisting that it's fine if Hugh doesn't want to wear them. Lisa confronts Hugh about wearing the cufflinks despite them being hideous. (For you to understand how important the cufflinks are, you have to know that it's one of very few Simpsons traditions. Homer also believes that the cufflinks gave him good luck in his marriage.) She also emphasizes that Hugh promised he'd wear them and that it would hurt Homer's feelings if he didn't wear them. Hugh finally concedes but suggests that after the wedding, Lisa and Hugh will be living in England never to see the Simpsons ever again, except for maybe Marge and the kids. Lisa gets upset, saying that even if she complains about them a lot, she still loves her family. She then leaves Hugh, calling off the wedding.

Back to present time, the fortune teller tells Lisa that Hugh leaves for England the next day, never to see him again.

Despite the main arc being sentimental and all, the show was still funny especially because of the secondary characters. Mayor Quimby ends up working for Otto's cab service as a cab driver. Millhouse ends up becoming Homer's boss at the power plant (and, apparently, Lisa's first lover--which doesn't count, according to Marge). Mo loses an eye and wears an eye patch. Bart gets married (and divorced) twice. Pretty much everybody changes except for Troy McLure, who's still on TV. But this time, he facilitates interactive video classes--yes, as in school classes, Math and the like (sponsored by Pepsi)--gray-haired and all. Oh yeah, Patty and Selma are still single.


I really love seeing characters in the future. It's a part of them we never usually see, well, except in flashforwards.

I'm not sure if this will happen in the next 20 seasons of The Simpsons, which I haven't seen yet, but I hope we do see Lisa actually get married. I really do hope she doesn't end up with Millhouse. Maybe that kid from The Simpsons Movie?

The Comebacks

Three of my (many) favorites made a comeback today. So that meant no movies, just TV.

S06E13 Bad News

How I Met Your Mother came back today with Bad News. They introduced Barney's doppelganger Dr. Stangel--a fertility expert. Ironic, huh? The Dr. Stanel character was pretty bland for my taste--a complete opposite to Barney's exaggerated character. He was boring. All the other doppelgangers were awesome. Especially Mexican wrestler Ted. Haha. He was awesome.

Anyway, I was done watching the episode when I remembered that the episode contains a 50 to 1 countdown. I didn't really notice it (at least, some) while I was watching it so I re-watched it and screencapped all of it (see right). It was tedious, but worth it. You can't really see much of it in the picture even if you enlarge it because of the size limit on the Tumblr uploader, where I uploaded it originally. Anyway, I'm not going to say anymore because I'm seriously against spoilers. (Although sometimes, I do spoil when I get into it too much). I'll just let the pictures do that for me.

When I first heard of the countdown, I was wishing it was a countdown to anything related to Ted and dating. Seriously, who hasn't thought about Ted finally getting a proper date? I have! I've said this before, and I'm saying it again: It just isn't How I Met Your Mother without Ted actually looking to meet the mother. And the married girl doesn't count.

A lot of people are making a comeback this year. Sandy Rivers, for one, came back in this episode. Since he is now working with Robin (again), it might be safe to say that we'll be seeing more of him in the coming episodes. Robin Sparkles also made a comeback this episode. But that's no shocker. We see her all the time.

What I want, to be frank, is a comeback of the Barney-Robin storyline. It may be an unpopular storyline to many viewers, but I like it. Maybe if the writers can think of a good way to make it work without making Barney so un-Barney-like? Maybe. But that's something I'd really like to see in the future. Besides, hasn't it been said that that storyline isn't over yet? Stop teasing. Gimme!

S04E01 Defending Your Honor

GREEK's back with its final season. Cue the tears. Casey, Ashleigh and Evan have graduated. Staying true to last season, Cappie didn't graduate yet. That mean's Cappie's still the KT president, while Calvin's the president of Omega Chi and Rebecca of ZBZ.

I don't really know how GREEK is going to push through with most of its main characters having graduated. Sure, they're still in CRU (except for my fave, Ashleigh, who's already working in New York--does this mean we won't see much of her anymore? NOOO!) but that kind of beats the purpose of the show being Greek. Are they going to pull a Cougar Town? They better do, because that show is awesome!

Anyway, before I move on to the next show, I would like to make special mention of Samuel Page aka Joel in GREEK (and Colin Forrester in Gossip Girl, and Sam Allen in Desperate Housewives, and Victor in Melrose Place, among others). I guess he stayed true to his claim to fame--the charismatic guy you adore then catches you off guard by turning out to be a major douche. Okay, maybe the second half of that didn't exactly come true in Gossip Girl, but it comes around so often it just makes it true.

And Dean Bowman! I can't look at him the same way since I saw Ferris Bueller's Day Off last year. It makes it hard to take him seriously as an authority figure. Haha.







It seems like GREEK really is ending it with this season with Rusty telling Cassie that it's "Cappie's last year". Last year of what? He didn't specify.

S01E11 Moments Later

Ending tonight with Pretty Little Liars. Waited too long for the second half of the first season, especially since the first half ended with Hanna getting run over a car driven by--who else--A.

One of the reasons why I love PLL is the boys. They are so cute! All of them (fine, most) are so cute that it's hard to hate them when you're supposed to. It's hard to not like Noel Kahn because he's so cute. Aren't we supposed to like Ezra Fitz for Aria? Anyway, I hope they keep Noel onscreen for a long time and not disappear to nowhere like other "disposable" secondary characters. Where is Wren, by the way? I miss that guy.

Aria's turning out to be my favorite Liar. Plus, she looks really pretty in this screencap. She doesn't look like a high school student though, but whatevs. I thought it would be Spencer, but she's turning out to be too uptight and judgmental. Maybe Emily, but her parents annoy me, and therefore, her storyline.




I love the little tidbits of A when the credits role. It makes me want to read the books. I know the series might not reveal the same A, but I don't want to take any chances. That' why I'm restraining myself from reading the book(s). I just want to know who A is already. I can't wait. Then I can read the books.





None of my favorite shows are making a comeback tomorrow. I have to wait until January 6th when Cougar Town and Modern Family come back. So I may be watching movies tomorrow, unless I get to busy with school work.

TV in 2011

I stumbled upon a blog with a list of new shows in 2011. I watched the trailers and they're pretty interesting. I'm sure I won't be able to watch all of them. I mean, c'mon. I already watch too much TV as it is. But once I do have the time, maybe I'll consider watching these new shows.



Episodes (SHOWTIME)


This show seems interesting based on the trailer. A fictionalized Matt LeBlanc? Yes, please. I'm a Friends fan and a Showtime fan (thanks to Weeds and Queer as Folk), so I have no doubt that this will turn out good. If the trailer is any indication, I'm pretty sure I'm right.



Shameless (SHOWTIME)


Another Showtime series, this time with Emmy Rossum. I'm not used to seeing Emmy Rossum playing a character like the one she's playing in this show. Let's face it, the only movie I've seen her in is The Phantom of the Opera. I'm sure there's one more but I just can't remember what it is. No, it's not Dragonball: Evolution. Anyway, this show seems really interesting. I can picture it, another guilty pleasure just like Weeds. Showtime is becoming one of my go-to TV channels.



Being Human (Syfy)


I know I'm sick of all the vampire (and werewolf) shows and movies that are coming out of nowhere (damn you, Twilight), but knowing that this show is a remake of a British TV series of the same name makes me want to give it a go. Besides, this one has a ghost, too. The original is aired in BBC Three. Sure, it's no E4, but I've become a fan of everything British since Skins, Misfits, The Inbetweeners and a whole bunch of British movies I've seen in the past two years. Perhaps, I'll watch the original first. That may be a good idea.



Perfect Couples (NBC)


This show's a cute one. It's about relationships, obviously. You'd think it would be washed up plot, but watch the trailer, it's not. One of the reasons why I think I'd like this show is because of Olivia Munn. That girl is hella funny (see Attack of the Show)! It's weird though because her character is so unlike her. I'm not used to it--at all. But I guess that makes it even funnier. I don't know. I really want to watch this.



Mr. Sunshine (ABC)


Another Friend is making a comeback, and it's my favorite--Chandler Bing! Well, it's Matthew Perry. The trailer isn't all that funny to me, really. But it's my favorite Friend so I'll give it a try. I really do hope this turns out great. I hope it's just a bad trailer.



Happy Endings (ABC)


This one is another show about relationships, about friendship and love. Now that I think about it, it kind of reminds me Friends. Three guys, three girls. Two of them have a complicated relationship that's more than platonic (can you say Ross and Rachel?). Hmm... Maybe, maybe not.

Apart from the interesting trailer, I like this show's cast. Zachary Knighton has a special place in my heart since The Hitcher, where he got split in half leaving Sophia Bush's character loveless. (Oh the horror!) And sure, FlashForward too. Casey Wilson is another favorite. You gotta support them SNL alum. Then there's Damon Wayans, Jr. I thought he was a Wayans brother, but apparently, he's a Wayans brother's son. I should've known. The kids from My Wife and Kids are older than me, so that means the Wayans brothers are that old. Huh. Awesome.


Anyway, that's that. Six new shows I am interested in watching this year. Let's just hope I have the time to.

Have I Told You How Much I Love Change?

Yes, I have. Scroll down a few posts back to be reminded.

I've been catching up on the latest season of Grey's Anatomy, and for a couple of episodes they've been talking about how change is what you make of it. Lexie Grey dyed her hair blonde after she and Mark Sloan broke up. Everybody was teasing her about it, calling her "Trauma Room Barbie". I must say that I was quite fond of the change. She looked pretty. Yes, kind of like Barbie. But that shouldn't be a bad thing. (I could've chosen a better photo of her, but I just had to choose this one with Dr. Jackson Avery/Jesse Williams. He is such a dreamboat.) There's also this other story about some patient who's about to die blahblahblah, but I don't want to get into it. It's too serious for this blog.


Change is what you make of it.


You can take a bad thing and make it work for you. And that's the great thing about change--the possibilities are endless.


This is so relevant to me right now, because it's finally the three-week summer break I have been waiting for since the beginning of the summer semester. I am finally free of academic responsibilities until the 15th of next month and I can do whatever the hell I want. But, unfortunately, two years of summer semester has taught me boredom out of summer nothingness.

I am seriously bored out of my wits. And when I'm bored I find things to change. The first thing I usually try to change is my hair, which I can't really change right now since I've cut it in its shortest six weeks ago. And although I've been tempted to cut it despite its length--or lack of one, I'm stopping myself before I look like a boy. If I can't change my hair, I usually go around the internet and change my various blogs' layout. But I just did that a few weeks ago. So, what do I change now?


While I figure things out, enjoy a few photos of what I have been up to in the past couple of months. (And my shorter hair which a lot of people still aren't used to, btw) All of it are from college since my high school friends and I haven't been vain at all the past few times we've seen each other.

I'm blogging right now because I'm trying to prolong my rest time. See, I have this test on Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo on Thursday and I really don't want to continue reading. Reading in Filipino is such a drag! It's taking me double the time I usually need to finish reading a book in English. I should've been done a long time ago since the test was originally scheduled for last Thursday but, yeah, I've been slacking off. I mean, it is summer after all. Besides, our teacher told us that we don't really need to read everything so I'm using his advice to justify my laziness. My superego is telling me to read everything so I will be extra prepared while my ego's telling me it's just not feasible. Anyway, after Thursday's test we're done for History 165. All I need to worry about is Economics.


There's just too much stuff to do! I also have an Economics paper due on the 17th! Although it's just three-or-so pages long, it's going to be quite difficult because I can't understand a thing in Economics. Plus, our org's PlevSem is going to be next weekend so I have only until Thursday night to actually finish the paper. Why did our teacher give us the topic so late?


Final stretch. Got to get through the final two weeks.

Let the Countdown Begin

I've been meaning to blog about this last week but I've just been busy to take this much time and write about this topic.


It's countdown season. Yes, it's almost time to say goodbye to my favorite TV shows. It's almost time to go through the withdrawal syndrome and look for something else to watch. Let me list it down for you.

One Tree Hill has just come back from it's break last week for its final four episodes. There's the one from last week and another one today which means it has two episodes left before we say goodbye to Season 7 on May 17 in the US (18 in the Philippines).


What sucks about OTH wrapping up season 7 is that it seems like there's still too much to cover. The fact that it still hasn't been renewed for an eighth season scares me even more. One Tree Hill is my favorite show and I want it to stay for forever. But I can't deny the fact that it has been around for seven seasons and is nearing its expiration date. But please, end it right! And by ending it right I mean, get Brooke and Julian hitched already! Brooke needs her happy ending because she's the only one among the original five cast members who still hasn't had her complete happy ending.


But seriously, there are just too many things wrong with Season 7. Peyton and Lucas are gone (which I have come to terms with, by the way), then there's the absolutely stressful Nathan Scott love child storyline, the Alex-Brulian love triangle, the Mouth and Lauren affair... I can go on. Plus, Lauren/Skills and Mouth/Milli have to get back together, and Jamie needs a brother. That is why we need a Season 8. Got that, The CW?

As usual, How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory are scheduled to end together as they began their current seasons together. Both sitcoms still have three more episodes airing after this week's episode and both are ending on May 24 (that's 25 for us in the Philippines).


Season 5 of How I Met Your Mother has been so-so. Actually, I have been waiting for the Barney-Robin storyline to pick up where they left off since, apparently, their story is "still not over". It's the only arc that I liked this season. I also miss Ted actually going out on dates instead of being single practically the whole season. It's just not How I Met Your Mother without Ted trying to meet their mother. I hope Season 6 will be better.

The Big Bang Theory has been my go-to sitcom ever since Season1. Now, in its third season, it seems like its only getting better and better. No matter what the mood, Big Bang never fails to make me laugh, especially Raj and Sheldon, my two favorite characters. What's awesome about The Big Bang Theory is that it always helps me with my tests! The show has impeccable timing, I tell you. There's still no word on whether or not Big Bang will have a fourth season, but I have no doubt that it will.

Just like One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl only has two more episodes left in Season 3 and will end in May 17 in the US. I'm disappointed in GG mainly because of the Jenny-Nate thing that the writers have been playing around with since Season 1. I mean, seriously, make up your minds already! With the course you've been taking, it seems like Nate and Jenny are meant for each other, but you just won't let it. If you're worried about Serena, Carter Baizen would be the best guy for her (plus, we'd like to see more of him). Or if you'd like to follow the book, she doesn't end up with anyone. I'll stop right there because I've got way too much to say about it. Just read this blog, it has everything. Yeah, I love Jenny. I don't care what you think.


What I do appreciate in Season 3 is bringing in William Baldwin to play William van der Woodsen. I have to admit that I've been dying to find out who the producers will choose to play Serena's dad. Might I say that he is an excellent choice. I'm also waiting for Chuck and Blair to get back together, because, let's face it, the producers have no plans of following the Gossip Girl book. They're going to get back together sometime. However, I think that the guy they've decided to pair Blair with for the mean time is another excellent choice. I've been addicted to Gossip Girl lately and I can't wait until it comes back later this year.

There's only two more episodes left in Supernatural's fifth season. This season ends on May 13. When we'll probably know who will win between heaven and hell. I'm pretty sure neither will win, but let's just see what happens. I love Supernatural, not only because of the actors (I mean, come on. Look at them!) but because it's my kind of Theology class. I love how they made Sam and Dean the counterparts of Lucifer and Michael respectively. It's not like what we'd imagine. I thought it should've been the other way around, but the writers had a better reason that I did. The writers are amazing. Plus, I love how angels die on the show. (Click here to find out what I mean.) I kind of miss Chuck the prophet, too. His character was funny. As much as I love where Supernatural's going with Season 5, I have no idea what to expect for Season 6. Apparently, Supernatural was only supposed to last for five seasons. After the sixth season, this show, like OTH, is in danger of getting cancelled. I hope not though. I'm really enjoying it. I can't bear a massive withdrawal syndrome.

I'm completely aware that Glee just got back from its months-long break, but what they're airing for the past two weeks are just the back nine episodes which are basically a continuation of the previous thirteen episodes of Season 1. Since Glee has already aired two episodes as of this post, they have only seven more to air until Season 1 officially comes to a close. So, the first season of Glee officially ends on June 8. Yes, it's still pretty far away, but I thought I'd include it in the list anyway. I am enjoying Johnathan Groff's appearance in Glee and I hope he never leaves. Unfortunately, he's only here for the back nine episodes. So I hope the back nine never ends!

Chuck Season 3 is also almost over. It's final episode for this season airs on May 24. I am actually quite scared of the direction the show is going since I'm not sure what the writers are going to make of Season 4. However, I am happy that Chuck and Sarah are finally together. And there's no Agent Shaw getting in the way. Plus, John Casey is reinstated! I am, however, sad that Elie and Awesome are going to Africa. I hope we still get to see them regardless of where they are in the world. I love this show because Chuck is living my dream life. Haha!

I've just began watching 30 Rock early this year and I've already caught up with it. It's currently airing its fourth season which will end in May 20. I am hoping that in its final three episodes, 30 Rock will grant us the pleasure of seeing Floyd again. (We love Floyd! Okay, I do.) I think that a huge part of why I enjoy watching 30 Rock so much is because Saturday Night Live (and of course, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin).


Speaking of which, Saturday Night Live's 35th season ends on May 15. The episode will be hosted by Alec Baldwin. Yaay! I am so excited! But then again, after this episode, my Sundays will be bare again. (How sad is it that I get to see Saturday Night Live on Sunday nights?)

Another new show (and another NBC show) I've been watching beginning last week is Community which I have Merce to thank for. If she hadn't mentioned it, I would have waited so long to watch this TV show. It's my new go-to sitcom. No, I'm not replacing The Big Bang Theory, I am simply adding to my list of go-to's. It's absolutely entertaining especially the after credits. Joel McHale and the rest of the cast are amazing at what they do. Community is definitely a must-watch. I can't wait to see the coming seasons.

Cougar Town is another feel-good sitcom that I watch whenever I feel like it. It either fills up my Thursday afternoons or my weekends. It's first season is coming to an end on May 19. Which is kind of sad. I love the Jules-Grayson thing but the title's getting misleading because of what's going on in the show. Oh well, it's still a funny show I'd keep watching.

I'm not a fan of 90210 but I watch it for the sake of finishing it. I've said it before, I've got this obsessive compulsion to finishing things I've started. The Vampire Diaries is actually an exception. I've seen the first four episodes but I got so sick of seeing too much vampire crap everywhere that I just couldn't bear watching that show. (Twilight ruined everything! I still watch True Blood though, and I still love The Vampire Chronicles.) Anyway, 90210 is airing its last episode for Season 2 on May 18.

I'm not watching Desperate Housewives right now because I watch it in its off season so I get to watch them as a marathon, but I decided to include it in the countdown since it's ending its sixth season on May 16. (Btw, I love the poster I found.)
